June is a special time of year for many reasons. Not only is it Pride Month, but also a time for honoring our fathers and recent graduates!
This year stands out as an especially important time for remembering them all. COVID-19 has turned our lives upside down and disrupted so much of what we take for granted in our day-to-day existence. Dads have had to jump through hoops with their jobs, caring for family and helping their kids with schooling.
In the last few months of their education, Grads have had to adjust to learning online and perhaps even a move back home with the parents. All the while, Dads and Grads have been trying to maintain some sense of constancy and keep things on an even keel. For that they all deserve resounding applause and a heartfelt toast!
To help make it a memorable one, the Connecticut Voice wants to post your pics of LGBTQ+ Dads and/or Grads on our website and social media accounts.
Please send a photo or two, to us at ctvoicescrapbook@gmail.com . Include as much personal information as you like, such as name, city/town, degree if graduating and a sentence or two about Dad or Grad. Please get to us by this Saturday, June, 20. We look forward to hearing from you all!
